Thought of the Day

  1. We just loving working on inspirational ideas here at Knot & Bloom so as part of a bi-weekly blog we'll be sharing these with you! To launch our ideas, inspiration and trend style boards is the Bloomsbury Group.

The Bloomsbury Group or Bloomsbury Set was an influential group of associated English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists, the best known members of which included Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E. M. Forster, Lytton Strachey, Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. This loose collective of friends and relatives lived, worked or studied together near Bloomsbury, London, during the first half of the 20th century. According to Ian Ousby, "although its members denied being a group in any formal sense, they were united by an abiding belief in the importance of the arts". Their works and outlook deeply influenced literature, aesthetics, criticism, and economics as well as modern attitudes towards feminism, pacifism, and sexuality.

Spaning from early 1910 to the 1920's the influence of this creative set is an inspiration itself and our style boards are reflective of the colour, tone and expression of the period. Let life, love and creative expression  be the inspiration for your wedding day.

  2. We have just returned from Wedfest '17 held at Stockeld Park and what a wonderful day we had! A fantastic festival vibe was created through collection of tipi's and marquees adorning a field within the park, the music was playing and the sun was shining - well for most of it anyway! We so enjoyed meeting the amazing brides and their crews and are excited to working with them to create stunning headpieces for their special day. To read more about the day, including an actual marriage proposal (whoop whoop!) see the uber talented photographer Becki from All You Need is Love Photography whose beautiful images and blog captured memories from the day.
